NOTES FROM MY COPYEDITOR PART 2

RACHELLE MANDIK has this to say in the manuscript of BOOK 2:

"I am lowercasing mole-men throughout, per its use in AOME. Hope that's OK!"

RACHELLE IS CRUEL, but fair.

That is all.

Does she think that "Hope that's OK!" will alleviate this egregious slight to the mole-men? I assure her it will not and fear for her safety...

Also not ok — lack of curly quotes.

Perhaps she can resolve the long-standing Teatime vs. Teattime debate.

In the meanwhile, remember: no messages!

I must now return to my voting. I shall vote hook in spirit, even if I am not allowed to by law.

This is unbearable! I feel insulted on behalf of the Mole Men.

It is not inhumane when "human" or "man" or "woman" is uncapitalized - seems analogous to me. You would capitalize it some circumstances, such as "Are you Mole-men, or are you mice?" or "Mole-man and Super-mole-man", the version of the Shaw play where they leave off the first three acts and just do the underground bit.

Oh, and @Glenn Peters. That is entirely contextual. It depends on what you are drinking and whether you are using a cup. Cheeky man.

I have spoken with the Mole-men (they come up to talk to me whenever I march around our Rhododendron garden in my Superman cape) and they inform me that, because of Who You Are, the generic usage is permitted.

Thank you for your help.

Hmm...

Who's the literary agent now, Hodg-man? Meet the invisible fist of publishing.

PScript> AOME == All of My Errors?

PPScript> Yes, I'm feeling snarky today.
