I PROMISED I'D QUIT READING COMMENT SECTIONS FOR A WHILE

BUT WHEN A BLOG hasn't updated in 5 minutes, what else are you going to do.

IN ANY CASE, I did feel the need to highlight this comment, from a supposed "JOHN D", on a recent Ben Smith post.

"Jesus was a community organizer."

AND OF COURSE, I always read YOUR comments.

That is all.

We'll simply never know. The ways of the Hodgman are mysterious, after all.

I don't even read my own comments.

I believe reading that comment section took about 10 points off of my IQ. Ugh.

For me, commenting on blogs is like driving. I always feel like the most cantankerous one out there, until I air my thoughts and subsequently learn just how wrong I am.

The full line - which ought to be on T-Shirts all over this country - is: Jesus Was A Community Organizer. Pontius Pilate Was A Governor.

Even if I am willing to grant that Jesus was, in a sense, a community organizer, I am not willing to concede that Jesus was qualified to be President of the US. He did not have enough executive experience.
