FROM YOUR COMMENTS

BRANDON, from your comments, shares this link, one of my favorite moments in television.

IN CASE YOU were fool enough to believe that words don't matter:

THAT IS ALL

That was a great reminder of what an amazing man he was. Thanks for sharing this.

That song still gets stuck in my head when I "feel so mad I could bite." God bless Fred Rogers.

Much like the cranky old bastard on the panel, that gave me goose bumps.

Made me cry too. so much goodness and passion in him. It gives you faith that each of us can make a difference.

To which my candidate would say, "Yes we can!!!"

I get a bit teary whenever I see that. Mr. Rogers was a buddha and a saint.

I remember watching him as a child, and hearing him talk about getting a parking ticket, and how mad it made him. It made a really big impression on me.

As amazing and wonderful as that video was (and, frankly, everything Fred Rogers stood for), it was just as awesome to see the overwhelmingly positive comments (which is rare for ANY YouTube video).

I miss Mr Rogers. He was my very first friend. And that video makes me cry too.

i grew up watching mr rogers (the original shows, not repeats because i'm old) and loved him dearly, as you all have too. this sounds corny, but he was the only man in my life who wasn't abusive in some way. what a beautiful person, to be sure. it kind of breaks my heart to watch this video though, because i feel that we have lost so much of our real moral center in the last 20+ years. but it was nice to watch this today.. thanks for posting it.

Wow. It's easy to get cynical and snarky about Mr. Rogers at the age of 36, but he schooled the Senate and I think I love him more now than I did when I was 3 and 4. Thanks for posting it.

I grew up watching Mr Rogers, I like to think that I'm able to take some of what I learned and use it raising my sons. A great video! Thank You. :-D

Wish I was more like Mr Rogers.

I wish MORE people were like him.

Think there would be any children left behind if he was in charge?

I was just thinking of Fred Rogers, with the birth of my first child coming up, I wanted to see if Mr Rogers was still being shown, or if you could get dvds of it. Apparently public television in seattle still shows it!

Once when I was a child I introduced my new baby brother to Mr Rogers through the television. I didn't mind that he never responded directly to that I guess.
